April 22 - Week 14

Hello
Another boring week. We sat around. Studied a weeee bit. Ran around in the park for a bisschen(little bit)
Elder strörmsdörfer put a post on Facebook saying he’d help with people's English and his phone got blown-up with people calling. Mainly Arabs and Indians wanting to learn English.  There was a couple that kept calling him and being anoying. A couple were like, send me girls numbers. So that was fun.
We learned that we are losing elder strörmsdörfer which really makes me sad because I really liked him. We are getting a new elder who is from Germany who was serving in Canada and was sent home.  So I will still be in a three- som with Elder Albertson from Canada and new elder who has been serving in Canada.  Being a native German perhaps he can help with my German  So we we'll see what happens. He arrived Thursday. Yeyeyeyeyeyey

Sorry for this short email. Life's pretty not interesting
Love you  Elder Carson

April 14, 2020- Week 13

Hey guys

This week has been not to crazy. I came to München a week ago today. So that was kinda crazy. I've got to know my new companions more. I like both of them. I really like Elder Strörmsdörfer. He's just really chill, and funny. I first got to know him at a zone conference - he is from Bountiful Utah and a swimmer.  Before I was companions with him, I really wanted to be his companion, so I'm pretty glad I got him. Elder Albertson is from Canada and I don’t know him as well but overall I think he is good. We've played a bunch of football, so that has been fun to get outside. Its been really warm, except today, so that is exiting. We moved a bunch of furniture around in our apartment. I've also done tons  of cleaning. I also fixed a bunch of the drawers on our desks. We moved four big cabinets from the living room to the bedroom so we can have storage for our clothes. I have started to sleep better as the week has gone by. This p day has been good. We played a bunch of Catan.( board game) I'm still feeling really terrible about my German. Trying to study every day. The book we have, to study the language is not the best it so hard to read. I've probably started it 5 times and restarted it again. I am a bit desperate. I've started using duolingo a bunch more. That seems to work better. I kinda miss Elder Porter, because his german was so good.  Our lessons are good.  We just call, and give lessons over the phone.  Surprising we have a bunch, yeah. They usually don't go anywhere too fast. The work is definitely slower.  I don’t know, life's ok I guess, glad to be in mission field. Not too bad.   I know that God is in control of this situation and it is just our job to trust him.

Love you alll!)

April 7,2020 - Week 12

Hi Everyone

This week has been pretty boring, I am grateful and feel many blessings coming to me, even though we are just in our apartment. Good to watch General Conference.

We haven’t done very much except for texting people including ward members and friends ( investigators) we did a couple of lesson on Skype. We have done a lot of biking that has been kind of fun. It is cool we have a college right next to our apartment in Augsburg so we can ride around and look at all the sculptures. It has been getting a lot warmer here in fact I’m sitting outside in the sun right now. The biggest thing that happened this week is I got transferred to Munich. I left Augsburg and Elder Porter on the train yesterday afternoon and now I’m with Elder Albertson and Elder Strörmsdörfer. So far it’s been good, although I didn’t sleep very well last night. It is P-day and this morning we went grocery shopping and then we played football and that was fun. It was fun to organize our apartment and move a bunch of stuff around. I kinda was the one that initiated it and it ended up being hard work but I’m glad we did it. Our apartment is a lot smaller and less organized and not super clean so I’ve got a lot of work to do. I am a wee bit worried but luckily there’s not as much for us to do being on quarantined. We have three men here so we can have fun playing games and talking when not studying. I got a haircut from my companion Elder Strörmsdörfer, I think it looks good. We are in a three-some because an elder went home last week unexpected with asthma( didn’t report originally) I think it will be ok to have two companions- Elder Albertson is the zone leader and usually his companion is the other Zone leader but they are separated right now - my old trainer Elder Porter the other zone leader. Teasing they said I am the youngest zone leader the mission has every had (6 weeks out)

Had a cool video past Alpine German speaking missionaries put together

I will send a link

We are good and happy
